Schloss Neuschwanstein liegt einen 30-Minuten-Fußmarsch von Hohenschwangau entfernt. Vor dem Erklimmen muss eine Eintrittskarte gekauft werden, damit man das Schloss auch besichtigen kann! Wer früh da ist, kann auch eine Doppelkarte kaufen und dann noch Schloss Hohenschwangau besichtigen. Die Führungen lohnen sich, man sieht viel Prunk und Kitsch und Kuriositäten im Inneren des unfertig gebliebenen Schlosses. Man kann den Weg auch mit Pferdekutsche oder Bus bewältigen.
