Das Forsthaus Kasten ist leider nur per Auto oder Taxi erreichbar, es liegt im Forstenrieder Wald zwischen Neuried und Gauting. Man kann einen ausgedehnten Waldspaziergang mit diesem Ziel verbinden, z.B. von Stockdorf aus. Das Forsthaus bietet einen “üblichen” Biergarten unter Kastanienbäumen sowie ein Restaurant mit Bedienung. Ein abgezäunter Spielplatz ist mittelmäßig mit Spielgeräten bestückt (Schaukeln, Rutsche, Turm), bei Nässe stehen Pfützen, der Sandkasten enthielt bei unserem Besuch leider keinen Sand. Die Kinder können Tiere streicheln (Esel, Schafe, Ziegen). Interessant ist vor allem das Zusatzangebot, hinter dem Forsthaus kann man nämlich im Sommer auf Hüpfburgen toben und Bungee-Trampolin springen, Minigolf spielen oder im Herbst das Maislabyrinth durchforsten. Wenn es sehr sommerlich ist, ist es auch sehr voll dort, aber abseits davon ein schönes Ausflugsziel.
